Hello everyone!
This question has been on my mind a lot lately: what do I do about the growing cheek feathers of my faverolles?
As you can see in the picture below, my dear Lizzie‘s cheek feathers have grown so long sometimes she can barely see.
Sometimes she seems to suffer from it and she gets scared quickly when something she didn’t see approach her before, suddenly appears in her small range of vision. I hope there is something that can be done about this?
It doesn’t seem like a good idea to trim those feathers and suggestions I’ve had like trying to flatten them with wax also seem like a bad idea to me.
I would very much appreciate any feedback on this topic about what to do or not to do, or similar experiences you may have had with your own chickens. Thank you!
