He didn't skip a beat. "You believe what you wish, your grace. There is so little belief left in this world, I would not judge if you were effected. I have it's eye, should you wish to see it?" His ear flicked as he heard the tiniest of skritches on the tile behind him. The beast had followed him. He knew this would happen. Oh, she had better turn out to be worth the price.
Grervyn become even more annoyed by this cat's play acting.
"No, I would not like to see it," said the king sternly. His eyes darkened. "Set a patrol up to find out what that group is up to. I want no disruptions to my kingdom and the rules must be enforced. Enough have already happened. Bring as many men or beasts as you think appropriate for this. Go immediately. I want a full report of what happened when you get back. Every detail. And all of them true."
Looks like Lionheart will need me anyways, though Grervyn.

Queste stared at the gorgeous, shimmering unicorn. She wondered what herbed hay tasted like.
Belle startled. She must have been talking to Alok when the apparition appeared. Her shadows didn't match that of this world, defying the rising sun. Her eyes were sunken and her voice sounded distant. Yet underneath all that there was the beauty of a young maiden. Belle cleared her throat. " Hello, I don't think we've met. I'm Belle..."

"Hi, I'm Queste," said Queste. The unicorn saw right through her disguise.
By now, Alok had finished his stew and put it with the other dirty dishes, he came back and sat across from Queste. "You're one of the new kids?" He asked.
"Yeah, from farther east," she said, part of which was true. Queste had been going west during her travels.

Alok didn't trust this girl, and she seemed... Ghostly? But he nodded, as if fooled. "I'm Alok. You been assigned a job yet?"

"I-" he started, but thought better, "Y-yesss. Your highness." He said. On a normal day he might have countered. He wasn't an adventureur, he was a strategist! He sat behind the battle lines and told the general what to tell the soldiers, not- auuugh!
