CHICHESTER, NH CHICKEN SWAP-( SAT. JUNE 27TH!!)

i think we went threw this before with pug puppies, and the spca, and kittens.
i am trying to keep them what they are so there arent any problems, they are a livestock sale.
having said that, if others believe that having the right paperwork in order is enough, then i dont know anymore that can be said or done.

yeah, that's a hard one. If it were me, I would find out the legalities of it. It would be a shame to have the Humane Society break up our little chicken swap.

we did a sort of rescue of some hens, i say that because we actually had to pay for them, but to look at them you would think they needed rescue. some of these girls are in sad shape for such short lives. so most will stay here until they get into condition.

there are 2 or 3 barred rocks in the group and they dont look too bad actually, we are bringing them so look for me.

I am not sure it will be a problem actually.
The Merrimack store sold pups about 2 months ago. but that was inside the store and an employee.

And at that there is no reason to worry if they are there for socialization.
If they sell so be it if they dont so be it

Interesting....was this a rescue that you found via Craigslist?
I ask because I had some conversations with someone this week about a couple of BR in a larger flock...and he never responded to me.

I'm interested in the BR too if Carey isn't...sadly, I'm out of town this weekend and can't make it to the swaps

I have contacted the state vet to see if there would be a problem with me selling the pups there. They said there was nothing the spca could do. The pups are older than 8 weeks old, have there shots and vet health certificates. I alway bring the paper work with me anywhere I bring the pups, that way a potential buyer could see the documents other than just hearing me tell them that the pups have them.

One reason I asked what people thought about me bringing the pups was because the employees at TSC asked me to bring them to the first swap. The pups were to small and to young then to make the drive. I just wanted to know what some thought about having them there. That being said I will bring them down.

Thanks for the replys.

well, looks like we will get to see some fuzzy pups!

Good idea checking with the state vet....makes things much easier. See you Saturday!
