I don't have any but they are such a stunning bird! They are really tough to keep alive as hatchlings from what I have heard and from one experience

Thats sounds nice, Is it in a busy area?

It is on the intersection of rote 13 and 130 on the hollis/brooklin NH line. It is a rally nice grassy area with a large building in the middle. there is a paved area for parking and I think it would make for a nice livestock swap location. I think as long as there is interest and I know that I myself have turned several friends on to free ranging chickens for bug control and eggs, we should keep the swaps going. As for it being hot, I think most of us have tents and we are a smart bunch that know how to keep our animals out of danger. Of course, I could go to a swap every weekend! i am leaving for KY in a couple of weeks and am allready looking into chicken breeders in the area I will be staying.

I live like 10 mins from there and would soo love a swap there. Actually been pondering buying the place. Have been working on a business and marketing plan.

Whoo-boy - just found this site - I'm in trouble...more time-stealers...BUT - it's chickens!!!

I'm hoping to be there tomorrow - no, wait - today -

I have 6 beautiful, blue and black bantam Orpington cockerels to find homes for. We got a straight run from a breeder in PA - show quality - but only 3 hens out of 11 eggs that made it! They're a great breed - docile and easily tamed. The hens are basically pets and will ride on your shoulders. So sweet! Went to the Keene swap at Achille Agway - was a great spot but kind of crappy weather - so what else has been new lately?? Sold one pretty boy for $10. I'll take $5 each at this point - they're getting a little scrappy off and on, but for the most part, quiet - but I'm not counting on that lasting for long!
