Quote:
I hope to see you before i have to leave! I will be leaving around 10 cause i have to teach a class in Salem, NH. But it should take me 30 minutes to get there if i drive, but the hubby wants to come, I cant believe he is into coming to the swaps now. He enjoys chattin with the other hubbies. He is not into chickens. Maybe Janets husband could convince him we need some ducks!

I don't have any but they are such a stunning bird! They are really tough to keep alive as hatchlings from what I have heard and from one experience

Sumatra are a standard breed.

Oh, what a shame, they would look so nice in a smaller size too! Can someone out there try and develope this???Or is there a similar looking bantam, they are really beautiful!

I have a mottled houdan that I am bringing-- it is about 12 weeks old now. Soooooo cute.

How much?? Might as well keep all my business in one place! lol

Did anyone buy any of those "bantam white turkeys" the lady had in Milford a few swaps ago??? I was wondering how big they got? They were so cute.

Hey Shay, I just looked at more of them on google and they do come in bantam too!

I forgot to tell this story, I know, you are all probably sick of hearing from me by now, but this is a strange one....I heard my hens squawking and screaming yesterday afternoon and they were chasing each other and grabbing something from one another all over the place. So i finally corner the one that had the prize...a frog! GROSS, they were playing tug-o-war with the poor thing and then ate it! I wanted to ask them..and I actually did..."does it taste like chicken!"
