I recently noticed that my week old bantam chick (unknown breed) has started growing some weird feathers. He’s mostly still fluffy where the other chicks are getting lots of big feathers. The little wings he has are at his wing tips and they’re curled like eyelashes. Is this normal? Is it indicative of any certain breed? I’m a first time chicken owner and none of the other chicks have it.

It means you've got a little frizzle! It's totally, fine, just the way the chick's feathers are. I'm guessing it's a Cochin Frizzle, as they are most common, and it's got feathered feet. Look up pictures of frizzled chickens, and you can get an idea of what your little one will look like later!
