hello there!
I am john. We started a hobby farm in upstate NY a few years ago and got into sustainable , all natural farming. We started with about 60 chickens composed of black australorp, silver laced wyandottes and icelandics. There’s so much delight collecting / eating eggs from chickens that roam freely in a 50 acre farm. Believe me there’s soo much difference in the taste and consistency of the eggs. We also have Utility King Pigeons, Katahdin sheep, california Rabbits, khaki campbell ducks and geese. I need to learn more stuff about all these animals but so far we love raising them.
I learned about BYC from reading posts about chickens and pigeons.
