Chick attacked by dog

No visible wounds and her leg doesn't seem broken. Maybe just hurt from the trauma. I've felt around on her stomach and sides and I don't feel anything that feels broken either. Her little belly is just swollen and it wasn't like that before. She is not eating or drinking anything. When I move her to them she crawls back to the corner. Love her heart. I feel horrible she has went through this. I pray she makes it. I will check with tractor supply and see if I can get something to help her. I have put her by herself with a lamp, food and water, the other chicks are too wild to have her with them.
I really don't think that will help, beware of 'advice' from farm store employees. Except maybe some Nutridrench, applied via a soaked Qtip held against side of beak, it will wick into mouth and chick should swallow it. You can try to give water this way too. Don't squirt it into her mouth or you could 'drown' her.

She probably has internal injuries, the swollen belly. If she doesn't perk up in 24-48 hours, I would euthanize.

She does cry when you pick her up a little but she allows you to look at her without too much complaint. She is moving around but you can tell she doesn't feel good. I will get some nutridrench and try that too. She is very alert and she did drink some water when I moved her to it but she wouldn't eat. She is also pooping normal poop. No blood or runny. She does seem like she is favoring her left foot when she moves around but her right does not feel broke and when you move it she pulls it away and into her body so I don't think it's broke. I pray she makes it.

I can't give advice on the chick. It is dyer straights. It might need to be culled to end any suffering. Sorry.
However I can give you advice on your dog. Start training it now, before your bring anymore chicks home. It takes dedication and devotion to teach a dog not to attack your chickens. It's not an overnight thing. It took a year for my collie and 9 months for my lab. Day in and day out interaction with the dogs. Endless hours. Today my Collie protects my flocks. It was a long haul to get to this point.

Buy a muzzel. Strap his jaws shut, choker chain and leash. Start as soon as possible, if you wish to keep chickens and have a dog live together in harmony.

We have been introducing him to them every day. He has done so great with them inside the house. He showed no aggression at all. He just snapped today and literally knocked the bucket out of my daughter's hand and grabbed them. I didn't think he had been around them long enough which is why i wanted to put him up first and then let him slowly come watch them through the coop fencing. I definitely am going to work with him more but we have a back up plan just in case to keep them seperated. I'll load a picture of him sitting with them. He was watching them through the pen and seemed so excited about them. Wagging his tail and taking his nose up to them and sniffing them easily. With more training I pray he will decide to protect them. The vet told me it will be nearly impossible for his breed which is why we had the back up plan to seperate them safely from him.

Update on Blueberry: she is still swollen and hobbling around . She is walking, eating and drinking and she does not like being alone. She cries when we leave the room. Her leg is not broke because she is using it and moving it when you check it but she is favoring one over the other right now. I pray she is going to be ok. My husband says if she lives we have to rename her Miracle.

Eating and drinking is a good sign.
Is she pooping?
The limp could take days to week to resolve fully.
Try to put one other chick in with her, she needs the companionship.
Might have to try a few different chicks until one of them suits the situation.

Yes, she is pooping just fine. I put one of the other silkies that is more on the calm side with her so she was happy lol. She is starting to move around better and better but she does waddle and her little belly is still swollen a bit but she is eating, drinking and pooping so I hope she is on the mend. Having one of her siblings has definitely made her happier lol
