I just adopted this little chick last night from my neighbor whom hatched eggs he bought online. I couldn't help but think he was adorable when I first saw him. His leg is bent, stiff, and almost dryish. I can't even really bend it or manipulate it to see if it's a slipped tendon because of the stiffness. One eye is normal but the other is kind of droopy and large. He almost looks like he has down sydrome. But he is just too cute to me. I couldn't help but name him Igor. He's a week old now, tiny, but eats and walks well despite being unable to move his other leg. This is him with his hatch mate:
I don't mind having a special needs chick, but is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable? Anything I can do to help his leg? Anyone had a similar situation?
