Hi ! I got 4 new chicks Mon., each a different breed. A RIR, BJG, WR, and Americauna. This morning I noticed my Americauna breathing kinda heavily and holding her beak up in the air. Sometimes she makes this sneezing/ coughing sound. The other three are acting fine. Sweet Annie is pooping, drinking, and I think she's eating. I'm not quite sure. I have some Duramycin-10 in my freezer. Should I put some in the water, and if so, how much?

Thanks!

I'm not an expert but before you give antibiotics (if its a virus that won't help either) check to see if something is stuck in her throat. Does she have any discharge or fluid around her nose or eyes? What bedding are you using?

I tried to see if something was stuck in her throat, but I couldn't see, it's soo tiny! I am using pine, but I am thinking of covering it with paper towels. No discharge or fluid. She looks fine, and is acting OK, just sneezing/coughing.

Thanks for your reply!
