Chick Brooder Bedding

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if any other UK chick owners have used Plevin Snowflake bedding for their chicks? They're now just over a week old and I'd like to house them on wood shavings, the packet says it's suitable for poultry but does not specify which wood it is made from, only stating that it is softwood. Wondering whether this would be safe for chicks as it is for poultry? Sorry if stupid question haha

If it doesn’t specify wood don’t buy it.

I recommend pine shavings.
