Chick Can't Poop!

i think i'll leave them al for a bit and go to bed... i know mr poopy will be fine until the morning, and hopefully the other one will be fine too. she's sitting on her butt not moving, so i put her net to the other 2 so at least she's where they are... i'll have to work on getting them both walking correctly again tomorrow!

mr poopy is still up and moving- as much as he can with those legs. seems absolutely fine...

with the other ones, i'm wondering if there is something genetically wrong with the parents and they passed it on or something, 2 from the same parents died within hours of each other. one had been not doing well for a couple days off and on, and the other went form being fine to dying within 4 hours or so... i wasn't really attached to these ones since i had already decided to sell everyone this time, but still

ive read somewhere that that cant be on pine shavings at that age cause they like to pick at it and eat it. shreaded newspaper or paper towels seam to work a bit better. im sorry you lost a baby. i hope the other one pulls through

Im sorry for your loss...Pine shavings r fone for chicks--cedars not...I wish I had mor information to help you...but I feel your lose....if I can help you.send me and email me..I know whal you are feeling...Im sorry.

No chicks are able to be on pine shavings at maybe 2 days old--after that ok...first day or two recommended put down paper towels and on top pine chips. NO CEDAR OR HARD WOOD> So chicks won't eat pine chips. After that chickts should be ok...and be able to determine difference...Have researched this in several difference places..But hop it helps.

yah, mine wern't on ine shavings until a week old, and then paper towels over them for a day until they tore the paper up and found them anyways.

mr poopy is happy and seems fine... except for the having a hard time pooping thing! still looks the same, i got some out of him, but...
