Hey I've got two silkie hens and one silkie rooster. The rooster is spending some "eggstra" time with one of the hens.
Just wanted to know if the hen does have chicks, how much do I have to do in the raising and looking after of the babies?
I've heard that silkies are great mothers and with two of them do they need me at all?

Just make sure the hen has access to feed and water during the brooding period. You can separate her from the flock when the chicks hatch or you can build a feeder only the chicks have access to. (Or even switch the whole flock to a non-medicated starter feed). You'll also need to move elevated waters down.
