Hi there, I had a chick hatch about 24 hours ago and a second hatch around 12 hours ago. The first is much smaller than the second, and hasn't fluffed yet, so I decided to keep it in the incubator until tomorrow morning, to make sure it's completely dry. I have him/her some sugar water this afternoon because of how small it is, and it was born with some yolk sac unabsorbed. He/she has been chirping very loudly for a couple of hours now, whereas the larger one is fairly quiet. I'm thinking it may be a distress call. Could it be to hot in the incubator? I can't turn down the temp. as there are other eggs waiting to hatch yet. I tried to give it water a second time, and it seemed fairly uninterested. Despite his/her size, it seems to be doing fairly well, except for the loud (almost constant at this point) chirping.
