Hi, have tried hanging it but they still perched on it. Have come up with the above solution. Am using redundant 'mark 1' feeder to wedge on top between feeder and roof of brooder. It's pretty stable and allows no perching room.

You're welcomewhen they r just hatched the little feeders with just holes in them work best. This gets them use to the idea of sticking their heads through a hole. A bit of sawdust gets into the feeders when they scratch around but they don't mind and there is very little food wastage. The little feeders will need refilling daily depending on how many chick's you have. As they grow so quickly, after a week or two you will be able to intro the pvc pipe feeder then keep raising the height of it as needed.![]()
