I guess I am not the only one. When I saw the pic of Al's chickens, I knew they were the same age and I thought to myself that they look way bigger than mine. YIKES! I am off to go and turn off the lights.

No kidding! I have gone through so much feed that I am now wondering if I really want fresh eggs that bad.

Al, Are you sure you are only feeding them feed and rice? I am convinced it is some super tonic.

I read about everyone feeding their chickens yogurt and oatmeal that I have tried it and they are turning their noses up. Mine only wants their feed and the occasional grub and earthworm.

I put the plate of yogurt and sprinkled it with their feed and they just walked all over it. Not 1 ate it. I even tried boiled egg, no takers either. They are real boring.

Mine eats everything that I throw in there. One time I got some fried rice and some meat and not sure what else, and in a few minutes it was all gone.

My babies are 33 days old today, have been out in the baby coop for a week, have been freeranging during the day, and are eating exponentially more feed!!! Almost all have their feathers now, and they sleep in a big tight "bunch", and I am just praying they stay warm enough!


I will post pics and weights in 2 more days to be the 5 week update.
