i have a 5-6 weeks old chick and a few days ago my dad changed her food to something she didnt quite like as much. shes a house chick and she usually just hangs out with me but whenever im away i keep her in my bathroom (its very clean dont worry) with some food and water. my dad placed a box in the bathroom for her to stay in and he placed the food and water inside. the box is veeerry narrow so she never goes inside where her food is and just perches on the top. i noticed that she was never inside with her food so i started getting worried, but whenever i put her outside she would still eat so i didnt pay much attention to it, but then yesterday i came home with green poop. i searched up what it meant and turns out it means that she hasnt been eating. i wasnt surprised. i also noticed that she hasnt been pooping as much so i thought that was one of the reasons why. i immediately went to the store and got her the usual stuff she likes to eat. she seemed well until this morning i woke up to her barely making any sounds and shes usually very loud. she would move around but not as much as she usually does. she's been very quiet and wont eat or drink. is my chick going to be okay? how do i make her eat again?

did she eat after u introduced her usual food to her? i would put electrolytes in her water and try to give her some via syringe, maybe take some of that water w/electrolytes and soak her food in it and try to give her also. also if you know she wont go in the "narrow" box then you shouldnt keep her food and water in there. is she cold by any chance, bathrooms floors are sometimes colder. good luck with your chick

yeah she did. she was eating quite well until today it was so sudden since she was full of energy yesterday. yes i moved the food on the counter where it used to be before. i also place paper towels over the counter so it wouldnt be cold or slippery for her. she still wont eat? she just sits on top of the box. thanks for your advice ill see what i can do!
