I have this buff silkie chick that's about two weeks old. Just a couple minutes ago I heard him crying and I ran over.
He's doing this weird thing when he breaths where his upper throat puffs out like a frog. And he occassionally does this weird sneezing thing.
I've taken him away from the group and he's currently resting on my belly. He's still breathing heavily and I'm thinking he just got over excited.
Is thereanythung wrong?

Have you changed your set up and stopped heating the entire brooder?
Have you been raising the heat lamp?

Yes. I did raise the heat lamp slightly. Should I lower it back? And no. It isn't panting. It's more like shaking his head and squeaking out air. The brooder is around 98-100 degrees.

That is WAYYY too hot.
Move the lamp higher.
I looked through all your posts..you have been having problems and it looks like this whole time you have been "cooking" them.
Get that heat down asap.
