Hi, I need some advice on our chick who is having trouble breathing. They have gasping for air since Saturday or atleast that’s when my dad had noticed. I have looked up things on google but not completely sure if it’s gapeworms or Aspergillosis and honestly I’m not sure how to treat it. She’s the only chick who has been gasping for air and has been in quarantine. Please help, I appreciate any advice.

Hi, I’ve had a few chicks doing the same thing. I treated them with fenbendazole from Tractor Supply just in case it is gape worm. It seemed to work for the first chick but the second chick is still in bad shape. Did you find out what was going on with your chicken or did you find anything to help treat it?

Hi,
I ended treating it with the tapeworm medication and that wasn’t it. I then ended up calling our local store that helps with chickens and they recommended VETrx and that worked wonders. I will say within 2 days they got better but I still gave them the medication for 2 weeks. So maybe try that and see if it helps!
