Chick heart beat

I know you can see the chicks heart beat, but I have very dark eggs and can't see anything. I'm at day 16, and getting very nervous. I was wondering if I used a stethoscope could I hear the heart beat?

I went ahead and tried it on a couple and couldn't hear anything, don't know if that means there just isn't a chick or if I just couldn't hear it though
