What breeds are the parents?

The hen was a Black-sex link and the rooster was a Barred Rock.

It may not have the barring gene then.

The chicks have the barring on their feathers. I hatched out 3 more chicks today (one from our Black Sex link that mothered the other 3 chicks and 2 from our EE). 4 more are due Valentines day so I am really excited!
