The chick in the photos is acting perfectly. It's alert, it's active and is given heat, food, and water. It's about 6 weeks old yet still isn't fully feathered but that's just like it's hatchmates. I observed it recently and it's entire vent area seems to be black. Is this an illness or just a trait of its breed? Also it'i crown seems to be a pinker and hotter shade could this also be considered a problem?

The lower abdomen looks very full, like it may be full of fluid or infection. Ascites can occur in the abdomen from heart failure, but I would also wonder about an intestinal problem or infection. It looks very serious. But I do not know what you can do about this other than to treat for possible coccidiosis or with antibiotics for an infection. I would think if it was heart- related, that the comb would be dark or black. It could be that the belly looks so big because feathers may have been pecked out? Maybe others will have suggestions.

The feathers haven't been pecked out by other chicks. They all seem to be happy with each other. I'm just concerned as to whether the back vent area is dangerous or not. @Eggcessive I will check other vets in the country while we visit other cities to look for amprolium for coccidiosis.

I do see juvenile molt, but I agree with @Eggcessive it does look like the abdomen is swollen.
Some of this is based on the photos and the rest is based on the OP's ongoing thread about 1-2 other chicks.
It would be good, if possible to treat for Coccidiosis or find some sulfa drugs to see if all would improve.
