Saw peeper McNugget today tried to get pics of tail etc and head- here are pics - sorry I think dome loaded twice

Soooo cute! But, how do you keep a chicken in your house like that? Doesn't poop get everywhere?
My friend whelped / brooded it - it does have a big cat condo it’s in when she’s not supervising. It met my 2 bantams and got along fine so now we are just waiting for her to be ready to give it back- she’s very bonded w it. It did go twice when I was there and she just spot cleaned immediately. She used to have a pet crow and has a house rooster so I guess she’s got that all figured out.
 
You cannot whelp a chicken. That is a term for puppies being born.
Hatched is used for birds.

Yes you are right again cyprus - dogs whelp their pups But when multiple breeders or owners are involved the whelper is the one who takes care of them after birth until weaned. she and I co own dogs together and frankly peeper McNugget kind of thinks it’s a canine - the bird was hatched and left in a bag at the cemetery so we missed that part
