Chick naming thread!

Hi I am new to Chickens. I am also an Artist and love the worksof Rembrant von Rhyne and Watteau the impressionest . Needless to say I love colour and light and how light affects color. My chickens are Amercaunnas and Mar-ins French . I have blue Birchen .Black Copper, Red and Blue Wheaten , One ofeach variety. I also have Lavender ,black, and Blue Americauannas and Wheaten. They are from the Greenfire ,Bev Davis lines and my Ammercaunnas are from the James Lines.


My chickens are quite young and I am guessing only about colours. I would like to send a few pictures at a time and have you all correct me on sex and color if you would kindly conscent to do this.

I think most of us in this thread are pretty new... You might want to try one of the breed specific threads for your questions. So far people have been very helpful. Good luck! By the way, your bird has very nice colors!

I know I am a little late in this, but naming my chicks was a lot of fun to me. I have Peaches and Cream, Thelma and Louise, Puck (from the old real world), Elvira, Denariuos, Frizzle, and Little Peep Peep (she won't quit peeping when she sees you until you talk to her.)

I'm a new chick mama, too. My 3 (surviving) girls are 8 weeks old. All Barred Rock. Gone With The Wind ladies. I have:

Melanie (Melly) died early on (of coccidiosis, I think). She was aptly named.
And I did have a Scarlett, she had the prettiest feathers, but turned out to be a roo...

And does anyone remember Scarlett and Suellen's other sister's name? I'm thinking it was something like Caron...if I can't think of it she'll have to be Ellen O'Hara!
