Chick not walking right

IMO would be to wrap it regardless. If it’s having problems as a chick, I can’t imagine it walking normal as an adult. Bones are softer when young. I’m not searching through the threads for you to find how to do it, I know it’s there though. Best of luck to your chick.

I was hoping you already knew of a way. Can't seem to find one for that deformity. Could I ask how long it would likely need to be on then?

Thank you. I think you just helped me figure out what this really is. It looks like slipped tendone, or perosis.

Not vitamin b2, they get all that in their feed and water already. I had just figured out about slipped tendon. It's hard to tell my chick from others unless I hold her now. But she deffinitely still doesn't use or hold her foot right.

It’s incredibly hard to correct sadly
It needs to be bandaged and supported once you have popped it back
Into place. This has to be done as
Soon as The problem occurs to have more chance or working. I had to cull one last week to this as the hock got infected and the tendon just wouldn’t stay in place no matter what I did. I’ve just been given another one only hatched this morning and I’m going to try and help it but I’m like only 10% it’s going to work. Sorry not to be more hopeful, prepare yourself for an unhappy ending to this x

Wouldn't be the first one this year. We got chicks from tc, and 3 out of five died. Had to cull one from a u.absorbed yolk sack infection (it hatched to early. It was mobil but hat a, tiny bit of yolk sack still out. Went down hill quickly. I read a post about perosis and it gave details about how the vet wrapped the slipped tendon.

Cann anyone possibly tell me if they've ever heard of slipped tendon healing it's self. Because I can no longer tell at all wich chick it was. They are all standing and walking totally normal now. No akward hobbling, no unusual positioned leg, no falling every few steps, not a thing off about any oof the chicks now. I am baffled about this....
