Chick on chick aggression

Hm... about how big is your brooder exactly and how many chicks do you have in total, if you don't mind me asking?

I'll measure exactly when I get home...I have repurposed aquariums as brooders currently and they are in a 110 gallon tank...Not small for their current sizes, but it will be when they get bigger for sure and they will be split up, as there are 15 total

I don't know if it's much help but what worked best with my aggressive chick (now a little over 2 months and a confirmed rooster) is keeping them in the same brooder and putting a chicken wire divider between them. They can get as close and personal as they wish without actually being able to attack. After a couple days of this he'd no longer attack my Rhode Island Red (and an additional Cornish Rock). I was also able to introduce 4 more chicks to the mix with 2 weeks of separation resulting in only a brief series of threats from the roo.

I will definitely have to try that...Just have to figure out how I would be able to get the chicken wire to stay put in mine

1/2" hardware cloth could be cut and bent to fit tight.
..or a wooden frame sized just right with CW attached.
Hard to work with attaching to glass..or is tank acrylic?

...or you could just make a chick jail out of 1/2" HC,
has worked for me in the past with a rowdy chick.
