That is often a sign of over crowding. As they start to outgrow their baby quarters they can start pecking each other if they aren't given plenty of room to get away from each other. Also mixing gentle breeds with more outgoing ones tends to lead to the more meek being pecked if they can't get away. We had to have our baby silkies toe amputated after it was almost severed by severe picking where we bought her (we missed that, thought it was only her butt had been pecked bare till we got home and discovered it going black)

How big is your chick area and how many do you have in it? If you get the space right and they have enough other things to do the pecking normally sorts itself out and the feathers grow back. You can also buy a pick no more spray for cage birds from the pet shop to spray on the bare areas to discourage them.

The best treatment though is space.

How old is your chick? How many other chicks are in the brooder? How large is the brooder? Or are they old enough to be in a coop and run already?

If the chick is just a few days old, the problem could be caused by constipation, and it's the vent that is swollen and it's not necessarily from the others pecking at it.

Knowing the age of the chick can tell us a lot more so we can help better.

Judging by their other posts they are at least a month old.

Ah! I should have thought of checking that!

So the problem is most likely pecking due to an over-crowded brooder. But we won't know for sure until the OP tells us the size of it and number of chicks.

Blu-kote painted on the raw skin can help heal it as well as disguise the target area.

I'm a newbie too, so take it for what it's worth, but several of our chicks were getting pecked when we had them inside in a large tote. After moving them out to the coop, the problem persisted because although the coop was plenty large for the 10 chicks we had in it, the light, food, water, and distractions we put in there for them (mirror, hanging CD's, mini-roosts, etc.) were all kind of sectioning off one corner, so they stayed put. We slowly started spreading things out more, and that caused the birds to move around the coop MUCH more, so they weren't so crowded. The pecking seems to have resolved itself now, and the birds are all much more calm when we go in the coop.
We've also started piling up the litter into piles every time we go in, and bringing in big piles of cut grass for them to scratch apart.
