Chick pick-up on a bicycle? 3 mile walk of death?

Handwarmers should do it. I've transported young chicks in the car up to 45mins away on cold days using handwarmers. I also transported some button quail chicks in the middle of winter (middle of winter here means well below freezing point) by putting a layer of handwarmers in the bottom of the box, covering it in several layers of papertowels, stuffing paper towels along the sides, and then wrapping the box in a towel. They all have arrived active and peeping.

do you have one of those snugglies that you hold your baby in when they are new born? it would keep them close to your body heat and free up your arms to walk.
