Chick pipped day 18???

What day did he hatch? Mine are on day 18 and one also has pipped! I thought my temps were half a degree on the low side this whole time and was expecting late. Eeek

He hatched that evening!! No one got shrink wrapped thankfully when I moved everyone off the auto turner.

How amazing, to get a surprise early arrival. I think some chicks are just impatient!

I have 10 in the incubator. To my surprise, one pipped on day 17 and hatched the morning of day 18. Today is day 21 and I see 3 more pips and a very healthy and active 3 day old chick in the brooder. I’ve been anxious and checking like crazy over the last 3 days. I can’t figure out how 1 hatched so early. I thought the temps were a touch low but with such an early hatch changed to thinking maybe too high. But that would mean the rest are dead and cooked? Soooo nervous. I’m very happy that I have the 3 pips now so I think we’re back on schedule. And poor little Uno will have siblings to be with soon.
