Chick Practicing Display

We brought home a peahen and chick on Sunday- and have been trying to figure out if the chick is a male or female. I just saw him practicing displaying his tail feathers as males do, and even doing a little dance. Does this mean for sure it is a boy or do both sexes do that at this age?

Both males and females will do this, it is just them saying hey look at me or them trying to make themselves look bigger
