Well, I took some photos, but I can't find my cord to upload on the computer:( Hopefully I can find it later, I have five kids so who knows where it can end up!!! After I zipped it, I'm still waiting. I see a little blood, is that normal? No bleeding or anything, just a little blood. He is moving alot now, so I'm hoping he's out soon. I'll post as soon as something changes. Thanks for everyone's advice. This is nerve wracking!

if there is blood don't do any more for a couple of hours and see how he gets on

She isn't walking much, takes a few steps and then just throws its head to the ground is it normal ? It is about 5hours old.

tottaly normal mine was doing the same but as he fluffed up he got more active but wont walk or stand I gusse we wait a bit

august 1 is there birthday :D and I think my 3rd egg might be shrink wrapped :( at least im lucky to get a 50 percent hatch rate but I really wanted this one to make it..

Well, my second egg hatched but the egg shell it came out of looks different than the first egg. The first one was clean, a few blood vessels (not messy), but the second egg has yucky green and yelow stuff in it and looks wet, like jelly. Does this mean anything? I wish I could post a picture of what I'm seeing. Is this normal? The chick seems fine, but his abdomen looks odd shaped.

It's "egg gunk" and you'll see it sometimes with hatches. It does look awful, but it's perfectly normal. The chick's abdomen may be a bit distended since he's just absorbed the yolk prior to hatching. And congrats on the babies!

Oh, Whewwww! Thank you so much, I didn't know what to think. He's acting perfectly normal. Thanks. These are my first two hatches. I have another one due tomorrow to hatch and then the day after that. (that was my lack of patience with waiting to start them at the same time) I made three homemade incubators and am loving this. I had someone give me 40 eggs that should hatch out of my large incubator in one week. That will be exciting, but hard because my chances of all eggs hatching isn't the best. Wish me luck!

HELP Please!

Guys I had a pathetic day, almost all my eggs have gone bad not sure why, After keeping them in the bator for hours and hours and waiting for them to hatch, I decided to candle them and chose the 6 that I had most hope with based on candeling results. I took these and tried to make a hole to see whats going on in there.

Result:

1) 3 of the 6 blasted while I was trying to make a whole and produced smell the worst I have experienced
2) the other three didn't blast but were clearly containing dead chickens

I am sharing a photo of those 3, Can anyone out there take a look and tell me what went wrong, temp? humidity ? what ?

Reason I am asking this is I have another 6 waiting in another bator due to hatch in the next 2 days, today is day 19 for them. I want to make sure I do everything to try to safe them. Please HELP!
