Chick stuck in membrane?

Ok! The chick is just sitting there right now with half of its head sticking out. Should I assist if it dosen't hatch by tomorrow?

Yes, you would. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, as long as his head is clear he should be ok for quite a while. If you do choose to do so, just take a hot wet washcloth or sponge and stick it in the bator when you take him out (do it quickly). It will spike the humidity back up almost immediately. Either way is ok. Do what you are most comfortable with.

Take a damp warm washcloth(or papertowel) wrap the egg in it and take it out. Help peel the egg shell off it's head. Then very slowly peel back the inner membrane, stop if it starts bleeding and put it back in the incubator with the wet towel wrapped around it loosely and wait another couple of hours. I usually only peel the top half off, and let it try and hatch itself out the rest of the way. Sometimes the bottom half will just fall off in your hand. Hoping for a successful hatch for the lil one.

Ok! I'll try that tomorrow! Thanks so much! It really helps a lot!
