My favorite pullet from the Easter HAL.

Most of the crew

I have three broody hens right now, so a few things:
My first broody, a welsummer hatched these chicks,

1

about two months ago. Yesterday, the hen and the black chick disappeared :( :(
I think it was a fox but I'm not sure. I still have the whitish one, but "he" has at least one punctured air sack. :(
Theres still a chance that the hen and chick will show up but I kinda doubt it :/

The second broody, a silkie hatched two chicks also,
1-4.jpg

The white one in the picture died of mushy chick disease. Now she just has the black one.

My third broody has chicks hatching after the 21st, I will post chick pics when they do.
Sorry for the sad stories...

Do those pictures show up?

Oh no, I'm sorry for your losses :hugsI'll hope for the best that the hen and other chick return and tge little guy with the air sac puncture is ok. It seems to be a tough year for a lot of folks.

The pictures didn't show up before so I deleted that post. Let me know if they do not show up here.

Thanks! I hope so too. Yes, it does seem to be a tough year.

I think I just fixed the pictures. Let me know if they still don't show up.
