Something is wrong with my baby silkie. She's twisting her head around and was having a hard time walking. How do I help her? She's lethargic too, but reacts to stimulus and can pick her head up.

How’s your bird?
I posted about twisting dizzy skittish bird here a couple weeks ago.
somehow she is still alive!
Just wondering how our symptoms compare.

She's doing well now! She shared some of the same symptoms, but also had different ones. She definitely had wry neck (still does) and would spasm, but her spasms were more her freaking out because she couldn't lift her head. She would run backwards while crouched and flap her wings. Ended up taking her to the vet and found out she has a heart murmur and is neurologically delayed. She was also almost emaciated which was a total shock. She has gained a lot of weight since, but is still relatively small compared to the others. The vet prescribed an anti-inflammatory which made the spasms stop and definitely seemed to make her feel better, so I think it was a head injury either caused by her clumsiness and awful balance, or, since she is at the bottom of the pecking order, being picked on by my adult hen.

Sorry if that's a lot to read. I've been meaning to post an update on the chick, but haven't gotten around to it. I have some pictures showing her wry neck and possibly a video of her spasming if you'd like to compare further.
