Chick with a cut on its tail

Hi all, I have 13 two week old chicks one of them got a cut by its tail. there is a bit of blood. The others were picking on it so we separated it. What should I do?

I would gently wash it with a wet cloth to and then put some antibiotic ointment on it. Should resolve in a couple days.

Is there a place that you can keep her where she can still see the others, but they can't pick at her while she heals? If not, put a small mirror in her cage where it can't fall on her. It can be damaging at this age to not have their flockmates around them.

The chick won't settle it keeps cheeping really loudly, what should I do?

Will a bright white light be OK?

You could put up a separation mesh wall/hard ware cloth in your brooder to keep the injured chick on one side and the rest on the other side, so they can see each other and even snuggle together through the mesh without endangering the injured one.
