Chick with air bubble, not doing good

Hello, I've been on the site a few times and have learned alot, but just ran into my first hiccup with my chicks. I have a one week old Americana cockerel that has what seems to be an air pocket just under the skin on his chest. Also he seems to be having a very hard time breathing and staying upright for any amount of time. I've tried searching the forums but haven't had any luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had one hatched with an air bubble right where the neck meets the shoulder, sort of on the top part of the chest. We actually sterilized a syringe needle and puctured the skin and let the air out. Worked fine and the chick is doing well a week later.

I agree with Speckledhen. See if you can do that, or someone can help you with it.

what bedding are you using?
make sure it isn't an impacted crop...

Thanks for your help, we did relieve the air sack last night but this morning the chick was cold and stiff. Again thanks for your help I'll know for next time.
