Chick with broken leg- please help!!

I have a week old broiler chick with an injured leg, the litter is attaching and drying onto the wound. I tried peeling it off but some parts of the skin came off with it. It seems to be doing fine but I noticed it lays down a lot especially to feed. I don't know if maybe applying an antibiotic cream onto the leg would help and the leg is swollen already.
Do you have any pictures of the leg? And I believe that as long as the cream doesn't have any painkillers in it.

I separated the chick so it won't have to struggle for food with the rest. Litter is stuck to the leg again and I'm scared peeling it will make some of its skin come off with it. Can I put the leg in warm water for the litter to come off itself?

Yes, I would place the little leg in a cup of warm slightly soapy water, and try soaking without getting the fewthers wet. Dry it off and warm up the chick. Then I would use a small bandaid to wrapthe leg. You can get bandaids with antibiotic on them now, or put a tiny dab of plain triple antibiotic ointment on it. Trim any excess off the bandaid.

Thank you....I'll try that tomorrow
