My one 5 week old chick who survived the crow attack sadly did not escape unscathed.

It has a pretty nasty looking pecking wound. It probably needs stitches but of course it's Saturday so the earliest we could go to the vet is monday. Coincidentally I already have an appointment for my dog on tuesday.. It's not bleeding profusely or anything. How big of an emergency is this? I'm not sure if it caused any serious damage to nerves or spine. He seems fine in his mobility and mood.

I sprayed it with gentian violet after taking these pictures. Hope that wasn't the wrong thing to do but it was the only thing I had on hand with antiseptic qualities.

If the chick is moving around okay and not in shock, it will probably be okay. Do you have any Neosporin or similar antibiotic ointment to put on it? If not the GV should be alright, unless it is a deep cut. The GV will hide the wound from the others who might peck the red blood.
