Had this guy hatch a little while ago. It was attached to the egg by I guess the cord but then came unattached. At the time, there was just a tiny blob on the umbilical. Now, it appears there is a little yolk sack, as if some came back out. What should I do for this little one?

Im tagging @Miss Lydia and @Ravynscroft I hope they can provide some better help.

For now I would MAKE SURE the yolk does not dry out. I think I have heard of people gently pushing it back in (careful not to rupture) and using a topical antibiotic and a tiny tiny tiny smidgen of super glue to help the navel hole stay closed temporarily until it closes by itself. if you dont feel comfortable with that, for now keep the chick isolated if possible so more doesn't come out or the others pick at it and you can keep the area wet, or keep reapplying water with a damp paper towel.

hope this helps!

It got a little bigger, I will try to get a better pic. Right now the little guy is in a cup to keep him from dragging it around the 'bator.

Unfortunately, herniated chicks usually don't make it... a very few have had success pushing it in or tying it off, but most times if it is intestines, it doesn't make it...

If it is yolk, you don't want to push it in, it needs to absorb it... for those, best to keep them separated and quiet to avoid it stressing and causing complications...
