Chick won't use legs

Niacin is B3
Thiamine is B1
Riboflavin is B2

I believe those are all in nutritional yeast.
:thumbsup

I hope thats all it is. My son will definitely never guess at which food to use again. Lost 10 chicks because of it :( not all from the leg thing.

Did you just lose 10 chicks?
What age were they?
What were their symptoms before they died?
Sorry for your loss.

nm..I went back and read the beginning of this thread.
sorry.

Can you get some Nutri Drench?
It's poultry vitamins and has been know to work wonders for ill chicks.

Could they possible have died from Cocci?
I personally don't think that the adult food would have killed them.

Agrees....something else going on.
Were the crumbles a chick starter...small enough for them to eat?
Brooder temps?
Bloody poops...what corid type and dosage did you use?

Sorry I've been working. The adult food I use is ground at local co op so its bigger then the normal bags I used to get. The ones that passed first had really hard lumpy gullets and after I gave the rest a little oil, took away food and massaged all 60 gullets everyone looked to be better other then 3 that were worse off from the start. I then noticed some possibly bloody foamy poop on sheet over heat pad. Not much considering the number of chicks but I started everyone on corrid. So far I only lost one since gullet and corid but this one with the messed up legs was lethargic Sunday and had a really hard gullet when I treated them so I thought it was just having a hard time bouncing back. But now she is full of energy and eating and pooping normal. I've been giving her a lot of vitamin b for 24 hrs and she might be a little bit better. Going to do a photo op in a min.

I have liquid corrid. Doesed each one with a stronger corrid/water so I knew they all got it and then did 1 tb per gallon water. Have save a chick in water. Didnt do nutridrench because I was told the vitamins in it could help the cocci. But they did have it in water at first. I use a heating pad brooder so I go off the chicks reaction so dont really have a temp but they are definitely warm enough and can easily get away from heat. Everyone else seems happy and healthy now other then her. And most that I lost were br and they were very small. They are hatchery chicks. Ugh I hear her crying for me now. Really hope she's not in pain.
