They are on normal medicated crumbles now. Only got adult food for a little over 60 hrs.

I have Cornish-X chicks right now. I have raised probably 150 of these over the years, and never had this happen at this age.
Newly hatched chicks can get it from genetics, or difficulty hatching, but my chicks are 3 weeks old and were fine until 36 hrs ago. Now I have 4 birds down with splayed out legs. They cannot stand, or control their legs to get to feed, or water.
Does anyone have an idea why this would hit 1/3 of my new flock all at once????

That is too bad.I got a diagnosis today from my supplier (whom I've known for 17 years and who is not the breeder): Rickets.
I'm not the only one having problems. He's contacting the feed lot about their formula. In the mean time, I found one document on-line from Europe that says "ricket-like symptoms" could be a virus they picked up at the breeder's facility.
I've lost 7 out of 15 chicks, 3 weeks old, with at least 5 more at death's door.
