I’ve had this chicken since he was a chick. I had to give him to my friend for a while because we were moving and wanted to get settled before we introduced him.

We’re picking him up today and noticed that he cannot support his weight for the life of him. It’s his right leg that’s like twisted and bent. He can’t walk and I don’t know what to do.

I can’t get good pictures now, but I’ll post some when I get home.

Thank you so much!

We got him home and he mostly lays, even when he is eating or drinking, it’s very hard for him to even try to stand.

His leg is twisted at like a 90 degree angle. He cannot walk without the support of his wings to keep himself from falling over. He doesn’t seem like he’s in a lot of pain when I touch his leg and it can be easily moved to the front where it’s supposed to be. I’m thinking of trying to wrap it and see what kind of affect that has but I’m very worried that might worsen it.

his left leg bone is also protruding on his back when he puts pressure on it.

We took him to the vet the other day and found out that he fractured his knee and tore a couple ligaments. Surgery would be required and it starts at 1000$ :( Not sure what to do. He seems happy so I don’t want to put him down but I just don’t know
