I had to stop reading those comments. I got to the one about how the poor guy had a wife and kids at home, so we should all just look the other way when he decides to be a $#@%&*#$@! If he's worried about caring for his family, he shouldn't do idiotic things that will put them in a jam!

Doesn't sound like a CARING guy to me.

For me to read this article is very disturbing, no animal ever should be treated like that, and it makes my heart ache to hear people defend those types of actions taken towards defenseless animals. I would like to have seen him have to work in an animal shelter, educate him etc. and not fire him. Doesn't hate and anger grow more of the same? Let's educate people about our beloved chickens and all animals for that matter. 60 hours of service to animals, teaching him, guiding him so maybe he can spread it to his children and outward to others. Now I fear he is really mad and I hope he doesn't run into another chicken, dog or cat for that matter now, I would n't want him to do more harm, because of pent up anger. Just my thought.

newchicks well said! I agree instead of firing him make him do community service at SCPA or some kind of animal shelter! I do believe he would have been uncomfortable enough having to face and serve all the employees everyday that he would eventually have quit and then Sonic wouldnt have to pay unemployment. It is a sad thing when an individual has to be cruel whether to a human or animal. Makes me want to cry when I read and hear of stories like this.
