A month ago I started turning on a light in the pen to supplement day light so the girls continue to lay. This is about 4:30 am I hear loud/group clucking and think a egg has been laid. Next morning same thing but louder. I look out my window and see the shadow of what looked like a fox tail. Second passing I could see a beautiful fox stalking my pen. I get a baseball bat and go out to see if he is still around, gone. This morning, he's back. When I went out I banged skillets together and walked towards the pen. The chickens calmed down and I knew he was gone. The pen has been reinforced and closed off so there is only one way in. If he does get in, I doubt if he could get out with a hen. I don't want to destroy him but I will. So glad I heard the difference in the clucking
