Chicken anxiety

One of our leghorns got out of the pen and was gone for two days. We have her back now, but she is always walking up and down in the pen and squawking as if something is wrong. Wonder what might have happened to cause her this behavior? The other chicks are fine!

She could’ve seen/interacted with something that really stressed her out (like a predator) and she’s still in shock, not totally sure

Thank you Silviaschicks. She seems to be relative quiet today. Maybe some of the stress is subsiding. I usually pick her up, pet her, and talk to her. Believe it or not, it seems to help her.

Is this a baby or an adult? If she's old enough to lay, she might've started a nest where she escaped to and wants to get back to it.

This is an adult and I was actually thinking that that might be what the problem was.
My question now is should I let her go and follow her back to where that Nest is if that is what it is.
