Hey everyone!
One of our smaller, adorable, "bottom of the totem pole" chickens just ate about 5 to 6 inches of chicken twining at once. My wife and I had leftover rotisserie chicken that we just threw out and did not realize there was twining still on it...
We chased her (Sophie) around as she was holding it in her mouth like it was a game. After about 4 minutes, she finally managed to swallow the whole thing. I believe it is just a hemp/cotton twine - is there anything we can do for her? Or will it pass OK?

If it’s a natural fibre HOPEFULLY it will degrade and pass. The risk is an impacted crop or an impaction further down. Time will tell. Make sure you feel her crop every morning for the next little while. Make sure she has sharp grit available.
