They are fine this morning, but I think I am going to get some vit. K capsules and give it to them. I am not sure if they were just pecking at it (as chickens do) to investigate it or actually eating it.

This is probably to little to late. When my ferret ate rat poison (just one bite) my vet said to give it vitamin k. He said that is what it depletes in the body to kill things. I would call the vet or poison control.
Yes he got better been a while but I think it was between 5 and 7 days I don't remember the dosage. He ate quite a bit we think was at a friends house he was just wandering and when we seen him he had the bar and was munching away I freaked about 1/4 of the bar was gone if he ate all of that is unknown. I called my vet immediately he made the prescription over the phone went to Kmart and got it.
My ferret was trained as good as any dog I've ever seen. Just wanted you to know why he was wandering by him self he would have came instantly if I called him. Glad I didn't cause I would have never known. He passed a few years later and was not replaced.
