If the other Cochin is calm, you can put her in the ‘chicken hospital’ with her to keep her company so long as the other doesn’t peck at her injury. I’ve found having a buddy helps facilitate healing. Sending love!!

That's what I was just thinking too. Or if she is in a crate, having the other one in a crate next to her so she can't peck the injury.

No I have several... But these 2 are theb"oldest".. The rest are about 4 months and some are not 10 weeks

Great idea... I thought to keep her kind of quite for the first day or 2...i may bring Patsy in and sit with them for a while to make sure she doesn't pick at Jaz... Thanks for the suggestion

Oh the sweet Cochins just melt your heart. I’m so sorry that happened. You must be heartbroken.I saw the neighbors cat nearby yesterday and freaked out. It hunts my wild birds at the feeder. I thought of all of the predators around but forgot about that cat. I’m afraid it will grab either my clumsy darling Cochin or little distracted sultan when they are out in the “ yard”. Hoping for a good recovery for your special one.
