Chicken attacked 3 days ago is now yawning, is this normal?!

Well i used the saline because it's isotonic and wouldn't cause the cells of the underlying tissues to swell and macerate, which would have delayed healing. It doesn't sting humans so i figured it wouldn't sting my hen. Betadine on open wounds is absorbed and ca. Have cytotoxic effects. I'd use it on superficial wounds but this wound went right to the musculature... Too deep for betadine. I would have sutured the wound but didn't have access to a suture kit. Will definitely be picking up some tylan50 this morning... Is that a 7 day course for poultry?

It's normally suggested for 5 days. I'd do the 5 days first, then see where things are at then. Yes, you were right to use the saline. From the picture, it looks mostly superficial, but that's the disadvantage of pictures sometimes.
