Chicken balding??

I recently noticed a bald spot on my Delaware chicken's back. It's not very big just looking at it but when I spread her feathers I saw that many more feathers were missing. She's been acting fine, she doesn't seem itchy and isn't over preening, she doesn't get picked on my anyone else in the flock, she's laying normally, etc. I thought it could be lice or mites but no one else is losing feathers so I'm not sure. If anyone has any thoughts or fixes it'd be much appreciated!

Do you have a rooster? If she isn’t being overbred by a rooster then I would suspect some sneaky pecking.

No roosters, I only have hens

If it's not a roo or other hens pecking, next most likely problem is mites. It doesn't hurt to go ahead and treat for mites to be safe. Good luck! I've got some mystery butt baldness going around in my flock as well. :/

Hens will dominance mount other hens and cause that kind of damage as well. At least your bird has a lot of new feathers coming in.
